An experienced Software Engineer (C++ & Python) is needed to join an exciting, well funded, start-up who are revolutionising medical imaging. Working from their office in Oxford (flexible / remote working is available for the right candidate) expect to have a real impact designing and delivering, high quality, innovative software for lifesaving applications.

This ground-breaking start-up is transforming cardiovascular diagnostic tools through a leading highly scalable cloud-based system that provides personalised analysis to millions of patients world-wide. At an exciting stage in their development, they are now seeking a Software Engineer (C++ & Python) to make a real difference on the direction of this pioneering start-up whilst working on game changing technology.

Joining the team as a C++ and Python Software Engineer you will take up a hands-on role designing and developing medical imaging software whilst contributing to their continuous integration and deployment pipeline. Whether your strengths and interests are in providing a cloud-based eco-system for highly scalable and automated medical image processing algorithms, implementing Deep Learning technologies for medical images, or the development of performant medical visualization applications, expect a rare opportunity to be challenged and inspired building innovative tech that will save lives.

To qualify… You should be a Software Engineer (C++ & Python) / Senior Software Engineer / Software Developer / Python Developer / C++ Developer / C++ and Python Software Engineer or similar with a CV that demonstrates:

  • Expert knowledge of C++ and Python;
  • Experience of working within an Agile development environment;
  • Working knowledge of the DICOM standard, volume reconstruction, multi-planar reformatted visualisation and 3D rendering techniques;
  • Experience developing medical imaging visualisation and analysis applications such as PACS or Advanced Clinical Applications;
  • You are a self-starter and hands-on coder with the ability to provide technical leadership.
Any experience or exposure to Kitware VTK / ITK, WebGL, JavaScript, TDD / BDD would be a bonus.
