The position requires working across key client accounts within the studio for some top tech and entertainment brands, and you’ll need to become very familiar with these brands quickly. You’ll be required to constantly develop your knowledge and understanding of the clients’ business, their brands, corporate image, market position, and their competition within the industry; enabling you to add value to work when solving client problems. They will help you with this. As the Midweight Designer you must be able to plan time effectively to meet deadlines as well as producing work to a consistently high creative standard that is grammatically correct and free of errors.
Joining as the Midweight Designer you will also create high-quality design concepts across various campaigns whilst nurturing and developing key accounts in an ever-evolving studio. Working on projects from inception to completion (print, online, instore or events) you will liaise with team members across the studio to deliver that all important creative input. Whether you are familiarising yourself with clients needs, understanding briefs and marketing requirements or working with the copywriters, it will be the Midweight Designer’s inspiration and flair that helps deliver highly creative and relevant design solutions.
To qualify… You should be a Midweight Designer / Middleweight Designer / Creative Designer / Graphic Designer / Brand Designer / Digital Designer / Print Designer or similar with a CV that demonstrates:
- Previous experience in an agency as a designer;
- Excellent skills using Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator;
- Flexibility with the ability to multitask when required;
- A creative flair and originality;
- A passion and enthusiasm for producing outstanding creative work;
- A strong visual sense and typographic capability;
- Strong attention to detail (striving for perfection in execution);
- The ability to take direction well from senior members of the team.
Skills using Adobe After Effects, Premiere and other digital applications would be advantageous, but they’ll train you if not!
