£60k pro-rata – Brighton, BN1

A Financial Analyst / Planner is needed for a 6 months fixed term contract to join a well-respected higher education programme delivery organisation, based in Brighton. 

Since 2006, they have successfully launched partnerships with 22 universities in Europe, North America and Asia. Through innovative partnerships with leading universities they are expanding opportunities for higher education, ensuring success and transforming the lives of their students and staff. Even with their incredible success, they have maintained a friendly working environment in their Brighton head office which includes opportunities to join in with lots of social activities, get involved with their own charity organisation and much more. Their offices are conveniently situated a stone throw from the pier, so there are lots of great cafes and shops within walking distance and great local transport links to save driving to the office every day. Due to their continuous success they are now looking for a Financial Analyst / Planner to join their Strategic Finance team. 

Joining as the Financial Analyst / Planner you will be responsible for managing the transition to a more integrated long-term financial planning process. Whether you are supporting, challenging and developing financial and commercial analysis or identifying & proposing the best practice procedures it will be down to the Finance Business Partner to hit the ground running and drive the projects forward. 

To qualify… You should be a Finance Business Partner / Financial Business Partner / Financial Planner / Accountant / Financial Analyst or similar with a CV that demonstrates: 

  • Similar experience within a finance / accounting background; 
  • Financial modelling expertise; principally in-advanced MS Excel; 
  • Financial, commercial & analytical skills; both historical & projections; 
  • Comfortable juggling multiple demands and changing priorities; 
  • Dedication to meeting deadlines and managing internal stakeholders;
  • Team player; collaborative & supportive yet able to work independently when required. 

It would be beneficial to have a recognised financial qualification (ACA, ACCA etc) as well as exposure to or experience with cost of capital concepts (WACC, NPV etc).
